Manoj C. Benjamin — A motivated team is a happy team, on the court and off
The RIRIC Chairman on leadership style, management by objectives, and building a centralized team capable of delivering one of the largest greenfield FDI programs in India's history.

Q: Tell us about your leadership style.
A: My leadership style is centralized and fully focused on management by objectives — execution and deliverables with a team of committed professionals. A motivated team is a happy team, on the court and off.
Q: Tell us about your company and the journey so far.
A: Royal Indian Raj International Corporation was among the first FDI approvals under India's Integrated Township policy. Over the last two decades we have built relationships with Greenwich Group, Choice Hotels, Nicklaus Design, Jones Lang LaSalle, CPG Corporation and GEM Global Yield Fund — and we have planned and announced over $20 billion of integrated township, hospitality and golf-village development across Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.
Q: What's the one principle you return to most often?
A: Vision is cheap; execution is everything. India will be a 1.6-billion-person economy by mid-century. The country that we hand to the next generation depends on how well we execute the next two decades of urban infrastructure.
