Royal Indian ties up with Choice Hotels — Plans $6–10 billion investments in India
RIRIC and Choice Hospitality India sign one of the largest hospitality FDI commitments in the country — 15,000 keys across 135 hotels under the Choice family of brands.

MUMBAI — Royal Indian Raj International Corporation (RIRIC) and Choice Hospitality India Ltd., the India master franchisee for Choice Hotels International, have signed a strategic agreement to develop up to 15,000 hotel rooms across 135 properties in India over the next decade.
The pipeline will be built under the Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn and Clarion brands and is expected to attract between US$6 billion and US$10 billion in total investment, making it one of the largest hospitality FDI commitments in Indian history.

"India is critically short of branded mid-market hotel rooms," said Manoj C. Benjamin. "This partnership lets us build an institutional-grade hospitality platform on top of our integrated township footprint — a natural extension of the live-work-play vision."
